See the road I went down on??
Today was a very interesting riding day… Tom was going to the Chiricahua Mountains to do some of his Geo Caching. So my bike and I joined him in the car on the ride over there. It was a 50-mile ride.

Rock formations
We went in the national park and drove all the way to the top of the mountains to where the road ended! There I took the bike out of the car, put on my helmet and off I went. The first 10 miles I never pedaled . I did use those breaks a lot though…

Sights on the way down
The wind was so strong it kept pushing me sideways. I did make many stops to take pictures. The park is just beautiful! When I got to the bottom with white knuckles, I rode out of the park and the next 10 miles where all a slight down with a 15 mph wind in the back. Well what more can one ask for!

Me in the Park!!
It is still amazing to me that you can ride for hours in this vast open space and see nobody. When I would stop for a snack and drink, It was so peaceful to stand there and look around and you hear nothing. Just wonderful, (No Dave, I do not want to live there!) On the pictures, you will get a little idea what is looked like in the park. The one where I said see the road that is the road I went down on… I’m also getting better at taking pictures of myself don’t you think?. The other ones of the different rock formation give you just a taste of what it looked like.
