Palm tree plantation

Today was a cool day in Cochise, not as cold as Grand Rapids, but cool enough that we had to wear jackets. We did our ride in the morning and some sightseeing in the afternoon. This is Petra’s last day here, so we were busy getting everything in we wanted to do. After lunch we visited the town of Willcox, It wasn’t any impressive so we did not stay very long. Then we went to visit the Cochise stronghold, earlier this week we tried to go there on our bikes but only got in about 2 miles. It was all dirt roads. Today we went in by car and it was a very scenic drive. This is the mountain area where Chief Cochise was hiding out when the Calvary was after him.

Tomorrow morning we have to get up at 4.00 am to take Petra to the airport in Tucson. Therefore, morning will come very early… We will then go and visit our friends Laurene and Roy Swanson (They are from Canada and spend the winters in Arizona) we will stay with them for the weekend. I don’t know if I have time to do a journal, so you may get a 2 day one on Monday. I will take my bike with me to do a little riding. I heard that the temperature in Tucson is usually 10 degree higher than where we are. Only 13 days before I start!!!
