Every few miles the scenery changes
Today I took a day off from riding. Since it is my Birthday, Petra and I took Dave to the ranch so we had a car and we played the tourist. We went to Tombstone, A historic National Landmark. Site of the legendary shootout between the Earps and the Clantons. They do historical reenactment Gunfights daily.

My Birthday dinner, place!
After watching the reenactments that was very well done, we had lunch there and Petra got her own private shooting lesson… When we were done strolling the town we went back to pick up Dave.

Tombstone Arizona
This evening we (Petra Dave & I and Tom) had dinner at a BBQ place about 20 miles down the road. Overall, it was a very fun Birthday, and if you ever come to the Tucson area Tombstone is well worth seeing. I will have to go again with Dave on a weekend before I leave for San Diego…

Petra learning to shoot!
Yesterday I talked with my friend Jan Carpenter (who is also doing this bike trip with me) She is from Saginaw Michigan, but lives in China at the moment. (her bike has traveled more than a lot of people) I will meet up with her in San Diego on March 5th. You will hear more about her as the trip begins…
