Training hard
Today will be my last journal entry until Thursday, since I will be traveling to San Diego, where I will meet up with my friend Jan Carpenter (who is also going to take on this big challenge to raise money for Cancer research) and we will have lots to catch up on. On Thursday, we will meet the rest of the group that we will be traveling with, and there will be a meeting where we find anything we need to know.

Taking a break
So, for today I went on a 20 mile ride, the usual loop. When I left I almost did not take my camera because I thought I had taken pictures of everything there is to see around here. But decided to take it at the last minute. About 10 miles into the ride, I saw these, what looked like pigs crossing the road. There were about 10 of them. I stopped and got my camera out and started taking pictures. But of course, they ran away as soon as they saw me. One of them was pretty nosey though so here are a few pictures.

They are not wild pigs!
Now here is my question to the St. Paul’s school kids. What is the name of the animal pictured below? If you have the answer, send an email to bike4cancer@gmail.com with your name, grade, and the name of the animal. The first right answer received I'll put that person’s name with the right name of the animal in my next journal entry as the big winner! This is just for some fun on the road…

What is the name of this Animal?
The rest of my day was spend doing laundry and packing. San Diego here I come!
