Day 3 83 Miles, Total miles 218
As we got going this morning it was sunny and only a 30% chance of rain. The first few hours were good but then it started to cloud over - we were getting some rain off and on. Not too bad but enough to put a rain jacket on. The traffic was pretty heavy till we got more into the boonies. They had signs all over that said “share the road” with a bicycle picture above. We all decided that the signs work very well…. We the bikers got 3 inches and the dump trucks and logging trucks got the rest of the road.‼

Oh well, most of them were very courteous. Because we were in the boonies it was extremely hard to find a place to eat. And it was no day for a picnic…. So we stopped at the only place available “the handle bar and grill” with a big sign outside “bikers welcome” (of course we weren’t the bikers they were talking about) However it may not have been a four star restaurant it was an experience… But our stomach’s where full again and the people where very nice and welcoming to us.

Dave as always was a great sag driver, waiting for us every time we had to turn somewhere he was there waiting to make sure we went the right way , we have not made a wrong turn yet. As a group it has been wonderful biking together, and we have had a lot of good laughs. Our mileage turned out to be longer than planned but it still turned out a good day. My body still feels pretty good after 3 long day in the saddle, and I’m sitting here typing my journal as I’m eating a snicker bar mmm (guess one can do that when your biking all day) Hope the sun will be back tomorrow !
